- PASSION Prologue Part 2
Jeong Tae-ui has a Hyung who was born on the same day and at the same time. Though they were branches from the same root, Jeong Tae-ui’s brother, who bore little resemblance to him, was incredibly intelligent. It was as if the word 'genius' was insufficient to describe him. If only my Hyung wasn't so laid-back and indifferent to the world, if he had a bit more ambition, I wouldn't be exaggerating if I said he could probably blow up a continent. Even the United Nations' human resources development organization coveted Hyung, who possessed extraordinary talents spanning from the humanities to science and technology, and even the arts. On the other hand, Jeong Tae-ui was ordinary. Or rather, slightly above average. After all, he never fell below average at anything he did. In some areas, he even earned praise for being exceptional. However, when Jeong Tae-ui was praised for being exceptional, it was always the result of his own hard work. Unlike his Hyung who achieved top scores without putting in half as much effort, Jeong Tae-ui always worked diligently. However, Jeong Tae-ui never envied his Hyung for that. While he might have thought it would be convenient to have such talent, he never wished to possess his brother's abilities. What Jeong Tae-ui envied about his Hyung was not his intellect, talent, or ability. What he envied about his Hyung was his luck. Jeong Tae-ui’s Hyung, Jeong Jae-ui, was not only extraordinarily intelligent, is often referred to as a genius among geniuses, but he was also blessed with an unparalleled level of luck. It would be an understatement to say he was born under a lucky star, his good fortune was truly extreme. It wasn't just that Jeong Jae-ui would miraculously escape unharmed from major accidents; his luck went beyond that. For instance, he never needed to receive a proper allowance as a student. Since there was simply no need for it. Despite generally having little desire for material possessions and rarely needing money, whenever Jeong Jae-ui faced an unexpected expense and had no money on hand, he would borrow a few coins from those around him and buy a lottery ticket. The lottery ticket would always bring him exactly the amount of luck he needed. It was always like that. While Jeong Jae-ui's extremely and almost unbelievable good fortune was a normal part of his everyday life, Jeon Tae-ui experienced the typical amount of luck and misfortune that most people do. I would be lying if I said I didn’t envy my Hyung’s luck in such a life. When I was younger, I envied him so much that my stomach ached, but as I grew older, I didn't feel that way anymore. It was just the normal envy anyone feels for something they can't have, something new and good. Despite the fact that it was relatively insignificant, this was the only thing Jeong Tae-ui ever envied about others, considering how he was not one to feel envy easily. Although he sometimes felt envious and jealous of his Hyung, Jeong Tae-ui loved him nonetheless. That incredibly unlucky person, who was incredibly intelligent, exceptionally skilled at using that intelligence, and even incredibly lucky, wasn't so unlucky in terms of personality. Sure, he could be careless, fickle, and a bit mysterious, but as a Hyung, he was pretty normal. He was kind in an ordinary way, and he was reliably dependable. I think we're pretty good brothers. ……Even though there are still some puzzling aspects of my Hyung, even after living together for over twenty years, maybe that's just how geniuses are. But maybe my Hyung didn't really like me. The night before my older brother left, which was four days ago. As was often the case, he was staring intently at a complex blueprint that Jeong Tae-ui couldn't understand, and occasionally he would scribble something like chemical formulas or molecular models beside it as if something had occurred to him, and he would lose himself in thought again. Even when Jeong Tae-ui approached him closely and peered over his shoulder at the blueprint, he didn't realize it for a long time. Looking at the unfamiliar chemical formulas and numbers, Jeong Tae-ui thought, ‘Hyung is moving into an unfamiliar world again,’ walked over to the couch next to him, pulled out an ordinary humanities book he could understand, and opened it. It was a quiet, comfortable night, just like any other. Having stared at the papers for a long time, perhaps feeling exhausted, Hyung pushed them aside and lay down on the floor, staring blankly at the ceiling as if his soul had left his body. Perhaps a weary sigh escaped his lips at that moment. Suddenly, he went and sat next to Jeong Tae-ui, who was sitting on the sofa reading a book, and then he unexpectedly grabbed Jeong Tae-ui's pinky finger and spoke. ‘Right here you see…….’ And then, as he spread out his pinky finger, he continued. ‘Here is a red thread between the hands. Born on the same day, at the same time, on the same ship, it’s only natural…… But Let’s cut it now.’ ‘……. What?’ Suddenly, what kind of incomprehensible thing is this? Though Hyung always said he was swimming in a world he didn't understand, he'd never spoken such nonsense to me before. It was already well-known that his older brother wasn't of average brain, but at that moment, Jeong Tae-ui briefly wondered if perhaps his brother wasn't even of normal brain. However, with his usual calm gaze, his Hyung spread his fingers into the shape of scissors and pretended to snip the space between their pinky fingers. It was as if he were cutting the invisible red thread of fate that connected them. And then, as if nothing had happened, his brother looked back up at the ceiling, and Jeong Tae-ui, still holding up his pinky finger, stared at him blankly. Then, he suddenly asked. ‘Hyung……. you actually hated me, didn't you?’ Or maybe I thought, 'Did I do something recently to upset him?' and I tried to recall, but nothing came to mind. What could be the problem? What kind of issue could have arisen without me knowing, to the point where they would suddenly want to cut ties? When Jeong Tae-ui asked that question, it suddenly seemed like he was saying something out of the ordinary. ‘Why me.’ His brother ended the conversation with those words. Jeong Hyung tilted his head and stared intently at his brother's face. But seeing his Hyungs expression, which revealed no insincerity despite its unreadable nature, Jeong Tae-ui said nothing more and turned his gaze back to his book. But if you think about it, maybe those words were a shorthand way of saying, 'Then why would I like you?' Even if I'm curious now, the only person who could answer that question has already left without saying when he'll be back. They left behind the words, 'I guess I'll have to experience some bad luck.' Jeong Tae-ui had thought, 'What a spoiled thing to say,' but now he realized that his Hyung had been extremely lucky to leave when he did. He had left just before this bothersome guest arrived. *** ------ Credits: Translator: Hoshi Miya Editor/Proofreader: Tâmago We made a discord server! please join us!
- PASSION Prologue Part 1
Prologue Jeong Tae-ui paused when he heard the doorbell ring. A seasoned bean slipped from the chopsticks and rolled away. A tiny black bean rolled off the plate, leaving a sticky trail behind, and before it could even come to a stop, the doorbell rang again. Jeong Tae-ui nervously tapped his chopsticks against the table, his eyes darting towards the front door. I had a bad feeling ever since I'd heard faint footsteps climbing the stairs. Actually, I've been in a bad mood since I woke up this morning with achy knees because of the rain. My knees always hurt when it rains or the weather is gloomy, but days when they ache this badly, I just have a feeling something bad is going to happen. He was feeling as gloomy as the gray, drizzly day, having just laid out a simple breakfast and poured himself a couple of drinks, when he heard footsteps approaching from outside. In the old, run-down apartment building, which was over two decades old, you could hear a pin drop. If a cat so much as entered the building, its noise would echo all the way up to the attic. Jeong Tae-ui was on the third floor, right beneath the attic. From the moment he heard someone climbing the stairs a little after 7 AM, he had a sense that something was wrong. And the moment the doorbell rang, that bad feeling was confirmed with a profound sense of reality. Few people came to this house. His Hyung - the only one who lives with him in this house - I haven't heard from since he left the house four days ago, so he doesn’t ring the doorbell since he has the key. A heavy, insistent knock sounded at the door, interrupting his thoughts. Another thud followed as someone took a step back. The sound was deep and heavy. Similar to the clack of military boots. The thought of military boots sent a shiver down his spine. The doorbell rang insistently, three or four times in rapid succession. He had barely started eating when his appetite vanished, and he set down his chopsticks. The person outside the door, who brought with them an ominous feeling, showed no sign of retreating. The way they relentlessly pressed the doorbell without knocking or calling out reminded him of someone, making him feel even more depressed. “.......” Jeong Tae-ui went to the front door, removed the chain lock, and opened the door exactly twelve times after the doorbell had rung. The person standing outside took a step back as the door opened. The shoes that made that angular sound were spotless military boots. And on top of those shoes was a black military uniform that was straight and unobtrusive as if it was measured with a ruler. To be precise, it should be called a conquest or uniform, not a military uniform, but the place where this man worked was not much different from the military. The small silver badge attached to his collar somehow looked particularly irritating. It's not because there are countless people in the world who desperately want to wear that badge. Every time this man came to this house in his formal uniform, nothing good ever happened. Despite saying that, this was probably the third or fourth time I've seen him in uniform. The black gloved hands took off the black hat. The man smiled smoothly, his gaze fixed on Jeong Tae-ui. “Long time no see. How have you been?” The last time I saw him was about 3 years ago. A lot has happened since then. I almost died while removing a land mine, I almost died once again due to a complication while undergoing surgery. I was tolerant and endured three times and almost killed a person by beating him to death on the fourth time. I was discharged from the military without even completing half of my military service. Jeong Tae-ui looked at the man with a complicated expression for a moment, then sighed and spoke “What could possibly happen to me that my uncle wouldn't know? There must be a reason as to why you would suddenly show up at this place without contacting me ahead at this hour. ……Come in.” No wonder I had a bad feeling today. It’s not that I don’t like this guy, but I feel a bit uneasy about him coming here dressed like that. But when I think about it, he probably came to see my Hyung, so there was nothing for me to worry about. However, Jeong Tae-ui stepped aside as if welcoming a plague god into the house. The man's eyes curved slightly, not with displeasure but with a kind of amusement, as he saw his face. Closing the door behind the man who had already entered the house, Jeong Tae-ui asked. “When did you arrive?” “Two hours ago. I came straight from the airport. “Unn, I see……. You should have contacted me first at least. Hyung is not here.” The man, dressed in a sharp, wrinkle-free uniform but lounging on the sofa in an inappropriately casual posture, paused for a moment when he heard Jeong Tae-ui’s words and looked at him. “He isn’t? When’s he coming?” “Like I would know. He left four days ago and hasn't contacted me since. Did you only come to see Hyung? Then you’ve come a long way in vain.” “Is there any way to contact him?” “He wouldn’t be Jeong Jae-ui if he was easy to get hold of. You know that.” Jeong Tae-ui sat on the stool opposite the man and said casually. Jeong Tae-ui's Hyung was a relatively disciplined person when it came to his daily routine. If he was going to be away overnight for a day or two, he would usually let others know beforehand, even if it was just a brief notice. However, there were times when he would suddenly disappear without a word and not return for days or even weeks. That's exactly what has happened now. While he might come back after four days, there were also times when he wouldn't be heard from for over two months, making it impossible to predict when he would return this time. But this time, I have a feeling he might not be back for a long time. When Hyung left four days ago, he said something strange. ‘It's no fun if you live with nothing but luck. I think I need to experience some bad luck myself now.’ As Jeong Tae-ui recalled the image of his Hyung leaving with that equally enigmatic smile, he fell into thought. His brother had always been a bit difficult to understand, but no matter how much he thought about it, he couldn't figure out what his brother had meant by that statement. But……. “Um, what should I do…….” Watching his uncle mutter in annoyance and tap his forehead, Jeong Tae-ui mumbled to himself. He likes experiencing bad luck, huh? What a hypocrite. Just before this unexpected misfortune, he conveniently disappears. What kind of bad luck is that? It looks like Hyung will never even get a glimpse of the letter 'B' in the word 'bad luck' for the rest of his life. *** ------ Credits: Translator: Hoshi Miya Editor/Proofreader: Tâmago We made a discord server! please join us!

“Are you having strange thoughts again?” “No.” “What do you mean by no? We’ve been together for over 10 years, how can I not recognize your expression?” Park Seung-gi grumbled and sat down next to him. “What about the fact that you kept filming?” “The battery is dead. If I had known this would happen, I would have brought a spare battery. I’m dying of regret.” The artificial grass, which had lost its color, crumbled under his palm as he grumbled and touched the dirt floor. “…….” “Let me guess what you were thinking about digging again?” “Were you thinking that it was because of you that you got caught at the gate?” In Yoo-shin’s shoulders hunched even further. “………………It’s true. If you hadn’t come to cheer me on, neither you, Gyu-ha, Hye-yeon, and Team Leader Choi would have gotten involved.” “Hey. Leave me out. Gate scholar, no, I only have a bachelor's degree, but anyway, dying inside the gate is rather an industry award. I’m happy to die here." (he’s saying this sarcastically cuz he’s a fanatic of dungeons.) "Still……………….” “But what?” With a firm gesture, Park Seung-gi hit In Yoo-shin on the back of the head with a loud sound. It really hurt. “I like everything about you, but the problem is that you’re digging too much. If what you say is true, the reason you took this test is because of Hyeon Gyu-ha, but isn’t the root cause because of him? If we dig deeper, the person in charge who decided on this physical test location as the gymnasium is also at fault.” “…….” “That’s exactly what you’re saying when you say that people got swept up in it is your fault.” In Yoo-shin rubbed the back of his aching head and remained silent. Park Seung-gi hesitated and opened his lips at his face, which was still gloomy. “………………They didn’t die because of you.” And as soon as he said that, he regretted it. In Yoo-shin's eyes, looking at Hyeon Gyu-ha digging deep into the ground, had an expression that made him want to throw himself into that deep hole instead. They dug two more holes 100 meters deep, but they couldn't find the subway map or the dungeon boss. The group put their heads together again, but no solution came to mind. "You said there was a store, right? First, let’s secure food and water.” Lee Hye-yeon’s words meant that we might have to stay at the gate for a long time. We brought sealed food and water from the store, and brought mats used in classes from the center and laid them out on the playground. We also had to deal with the attacks of the demons during that process. It was okay for now, but the hunters’ mana and stamina would eventually run out. There was a shortage of mats and blankets, and the hunters needed rest. The group split into four teams, each centered around Hyeon Gyu-ha, Gong Tae-seong, Lee Hye-yeon, and Choi Jin-hyeok, and decided to take turns resting. The sky, which never changed day or night, was unchanging in brightness, so it wasn’t easy to fall asleep even if we closed our eyes. “Have you eaten?” When I opened my eyes, drawn by the soft voice, I saw the owner of the voice lying on his side with his arm propped up. In Yoo-shin moistened his dry lips with the tip of his tongue. “I took a bite of the bread, but I couldn’t taste anything, which was strange since the texture was same, so I haven't eaten yet. I know it's a bit extravagant to talk about it, but I can still endure it. What about you, Gyu-ha- ssi ?" "I didn't feel like eating, so I drank some water. You're not cold, are you? Should I bring you more clothes?" "It's okay." The conversation, which had been whispering quietly so as not to disturb those around him, was cut off ambiguously. I can't sleep, so I don't know what to say to continue the conversation. In Yoo-shin silently moved his gaze to the side. Hyeon Gyu-ha's profile, lying down and staring at the sky, felt empty. "………………I’m sure the outside know that we got caught up in the gate, right?" "It wasn't just one or two, but dozens of people disappeared in broad daylight, so there must be many witnesses. Two S-class people got caught up, and if they can't get out and get killed, there'll be chaos." A thin sneer formed at the corners of his lips. The tone, which mentioned not only others but also his own death, was light as if it were a joke. In the sneer that could be taken as a joke, In Yoo-shin felt like he had caught a glimpse of his inner self. It was really light for him. Death. In Yoo-shin quietly looked at Hyeon Gyu-ha, who had said that. After it was revealed that the dungeon boss was not visible, Hyeou Gyu-ha became silent. Hyeon Gyu-ha, who had been thinking about saving In Yoo-shin even though he would easily give up on his own death, no longer mentioned his own survival. Was the sight of his gloomy eyes looking at passive suicide or active suicide? In Yoo-shin took a deep breath so that his anxiety would not show on the outside. "Do you know………………. something?" Only the eyes moved sideways and looked at In Yoo-shin. In Yoo-shin was relieved that his face, reflected in the clear amber-colored irises that looked like melted jewels, looked relatively similar to usual. "Why do you think so?" "It's just that. It feels a little different." "Hmm, I guess I can't fool my Master." Hyeon Gyu-ha snickered. "I'm thinking about what to do. Last time in the dungeon, thanks to Yoo-shin -ssi 's help, I was able to find what I was looking for early, so I was feeling a little motivated………………. But now that it’s trying to play with me in the palm of his hand, I'm getting really annoyed." "I was just thinking about whether to just beat them all up and shoot them in the head." It’s light to him, as expected. Death to him. In the black and white world where the wind doesn't blow, his weightless words fell down into the ground. In Yoo-shin stared blankly at the fragments of the fallen words. "But don't worry." Hyeon Gyu-ha's eyes, turning his body to the side again and looking at In Yoo-shin, curved gently. "If I die, this gate will probably return to normal and a boss will appear somewhere. I don’t really like Gong Tae-seong, but since Hye-yeon Noona and Choi Jin-hyeok are there, it won't be hard to clear. Yoo-shin, you can just go back safely." "………………Then, what about you, Gyu-ha?" "Don't worry about the corpse. After I die, who cares if you burn it, bury it, or throw it inside the gate? Rather, if I die, the taming will be lifted, and you won’t have to endure the annoying stalker’s nagging, just right. Come to think of it, suicide was the fastest way to lift the taming.” “No, that’s not it……………….” Hyeon Gyu-ha, who was genuinely and cheerfully whispering as if he had found the best way, held onto his hand tightly. The body temperature, which was slightly higher than usual, prickled his palm. “Gyu-ha- ssi , do you really want to do that?” In Yoo-shin doesn’t fully understand the weight of life that Hyeon Gyu-ha is carrying. Discussing life and death with him would be nothing more than a superficial, lame joke. That’s why I asked that to his heart. “I think that people’s lives are not equal and that there are differences. I wasn’t anything special, and the rest of my life will be nothing special, just a common life. I’m not like Seung-gi who can achieve anything in the academic field. My awakening ability is only good for raising hamsters.” An expression that seemed to be difficult to understand spread across Hyeon Gyu-ha’s face. In Yoo-shin slowly shook off the long-standing contemplation caused by the terrible regret he had kept in his heart for 14 years. It’s different from the chaos of the time when the dungeon break was a mess, but the danger of life being threatened is the same. In Yoo-shin is still convinced that he was the one who should have died back then. “If you’re thinking of killing yourself to get someone like me out, don’t do it. I’m not a person worthy of being used as an excuse for Gyu-ha -ssi to commit suicide.” If this gate was a place where someone's life had to be sacrificed to clear, In Yoo-shin knew that he would have committed suicide without hesitation. This is not noble altruism or a holy spirit of sacrifice. Since there is a difference in life, if one insignificant, ordinary person's life can be used to save several hunters, wouldn't that prove the reason why he couldn't die and lived on? Wouldn't the deaths of those who passed away also be given meaning? However, this gate is not a place where life is moved by the pursuit. "………………Are you doing this because you want to prevent my suicide?" "If it were possible, I would………………. But it seems cruel for me, who doesn't even know how hard it is for Gyu-ha -ssi , to hold on to you and tell you not to die." In Yoo-shin can't choose death for him. To extract a little more value from the end of his ordinary, miserable life. Hyeon Gyu-ha rubbed his face roughly with his palm and let out a bitter laugh. ------ Credits: Translator: Hoshi Miya Editor/Proofreader: We made a discord server! please join us!

“Nonsense! A dungeon without a boss? I’ve never done anything like that!” Choi Jin-hyeok bit his lip slightly at Gong Tae-seong’s shock. “……………….If we couldn’t clear the erosion gate because there was no boss, then of course no one would know.” “…….” Park Seung-gi, who was excitedly taking pictures of the remains of the demon beast with his cell phone camera, asked quietly. “Then how do we clear the dungeon without a boss and get out?” No one answered. “Wait a minute, wait a minute.” Lee Hye-yeon pressed her forehead with a confused face. “Let’s think about all the possible scenarios. Does anyone have a map of the center structure?” “I took a picture when I was exploring earlier.” In Yoo-shin hurriedly held out his cell phone. Lee Hye-yeon, who had a picture of the entire gymnasium on the phone screen, checked them one by one while asking Hyeon Gyu-ha and Gong Tae-seong questions. “You’ve looked around everything………………. Let’s do this. It’s not that I don’t trust you, but I think we need to cross-check to make sure.” “Okay. Let’s go back and check the west that Hyeon Gyu-ha explored.” “…….” Hyeon Gyu-ha also got up again with Gong Tae-seong without saying anything and walked to the main stadium. The second exploration with In Yoo-shin following along at a brisk pace was no different from the time we explored the west area. We explored while walking, and when we came across a monster, we blew it up with heavy pressure to kill him. However, Hyeon Gyu-ha’s expression was different from before. The moment we mentioned the gate without a boss, he suddenly became quiet. ‘Does that mean it’s that serious?’ Hyeon Gyu-ha protects In Yoo-shin safely. It’s almost an absolute proposition, but can that proposition really hold true in a dungeon like this where there’s no way to clear it? My heart aches. The gate opening was a natural disaster, but the reason Hyeon Gyu-ha was there at the exact place and time the gate opened was………………. "Ouch." Suddenly, Hyeon Gyu-ha stopped walking. In Yoo-shin, who had been walking alone, bumped his face against his back and stopped walking. In Yoo-shin, who wondered what was going on, stuck his head out next to his side and looked ahead, swallowing a groan. Beyond the safety fence of the rooftop futsal field, he could see the outside of the gym. It was complete darkness without even a single color, black and white. There was a pitch-black darkness there, as if it was cutting the white sky with a knife and dominating it, as if it was sucking up even the light. Half was inside the gate, and half was split in two by the darkness. The cars and trees on the road were eerie. In Yoo-shin shook his shoulders lightly, as if the darkness was greedily devouring even the colors of black and white. "Gyu-ha- ssi ." As soon as he parted his lips, sometimes before he could even call him, Hyeon Gyu-ha’s gaze, which used to turn around, no longer turned to him. His amber eyes, which looked even redder because there was no shading, were fixed on the darkness beyond the black and white world. A chill ran through me sharply again. Hyeon Gyu-ha’s bleak expression, staring at the darkness as if possessed, was even scarier than the complete darkness. “......Gyu-ha -ssi .” Only when he was called the second time, his eyes finally turned around, wandering through the air as if he couldn't see the divine messenger, and slowly fell down. "What's wrong?" "It doesn't seem to be on the rooftop either, so let's go down." To somewhere a little farther away from that darkness. He grabbed his sleeve. Hyeon Gyu-ha's steps slowly turned away, and he turned his back on the pitch-black darkness. 'Did I make you anxious?' Without the ambiguous voice that would have been heard normally, a joke, a sincere playfulness, and a playful tone. In Yoo-shin realized it as he felt Hyeon Gyu-ha's presence going down the stairs without saying a word. It wasn't as scary as when I first got to know him, and we joked around, knew each other's houses, and even went to visit and spent the night together. Maybe it could be said that we were closer than friends. However, just by Hyeon Gyu-ha's small words and actions, the air surrounding the two of them changed. I realized anew that the bond that tied him to me was absolute and at the same time absurdly shallow. If Hyeon Gyu-ha wanted to, their relationship would go back to when they first met, or even back to when they hadn't even met. This wasn't sincerity built up through communication, but a forced union due to taming. There was no dungeon boss in the eastern area. The western area that Gong Tae-seong looked around again was the same. The hunters couldn’t hide their bewilderment, so it went without saying for the ordinary people. Since they were accompanied by S-class hunters, a deep sense of anxiety quickly spread among the group that had maintained a certain level of composure. Gong Tae-seong bit his lips, which were filled with anxiety. “If it’s not visible, does it mean it’s high in the sky?” “If there’s an ad balloon floating in the sky, it might really be there………………….” The sky was still white and empty. “Tae-seong. You were swept away by an erosion gate in Germany or the United States six years ago, right? I heard it took several days to clear. How was it then?” Gong Tae-seong’s eyes wavered for a moment, but the wavering quickly dissipated so that no one in the group could catch it. “It was a commonly known erosion gate. However, since the area was the entire city, it took time to search for the boss, so it was late to get out. I don't think it’ll help in this case." "Umm, if it was just hard to find, then it's definitely different from here." In Yoo-shin cautiously raised one hand, glancing at Hyeon Gyu-ha, who was still silent. “Aren’t there any areas where entry is restricted? I saw it on the guide map earlier, and it said that they did renovation work 5 years ago, so there might be some closed spaces during the construction………………” It wasn’t a very confident opinion, so the words gradually faded away, but the group listened carefully. “We can’t just sit back and do nothing, so it would be good to take a look like Yoo-shin suggested. But how do we get construction drawings or old structural drawings?” “There were a few laptops in the main building. Is there anyone who is keeping files there?” “I remember seeing those laptops too. Let’s see and find them. Hyeon Gyu-ha was sitting looking outside until Gong Tae-seong returned with all the laptops. In Yoo-shin seemed to know what was at the end of his gaze blocked by the audience seats. That darkness. Fortunately, the laptops had enough batteries. Carefully touching the keyboard that would crumble like dust with the slightest force, he searched through the folders and found the structural diagram before the renewal and a rough blueprint. However, there was no secret space where the dungeon boss could be hiding. “I’m sorry. I wasted your time.” "No, you have a point. It's not on the ground or in the sky, so it must be underground. For example………………. Is there a subway line that runs under here? Is there a shelter?" Lee Hye-yeon pointed to the ground of the playground with her index finger. Gong Tae-seong frowned and answered. "It sounds ridiculous, but the problem is that it sounds plausible." "My younger brother used to play tennis at this center, so I looked into it before, but there's no underground shelter, Team Leader." Choi Jin-hyeok denied one assumption as he threw a poisonous dagger at the demon who was slowly taking shape. "If it's not a shelter, I'm leaning toward the possibility that there's a subway line that's open……………….. Jin-hyeok, you don't know about that, do you?" "I don't know that much." "I’ve to dig no matter what." As soon as Gong Tae-seong finished speaking about burning three monsters at the same time, the group's eyes turned to one place. Hyeon Gyu-ha, who was sitting on the edge like an outsider, belatedly felt the gaze and looked back at the people. "If the line is open, considering the width of the railroad, it’ll definitely pass through the playground." According to Lee Hye-yeon's opinion, they decided to start by digging the playground. Only one person could move freely and dig up dirt without being affected by the cracked ground. Hyeon Gyu-ha started digging the cracked ground without saying much. "I thought you'd wag your tail and say, 'Praise me after I dig through the ground,' but why are you so quiet?" Lee Hye-yeon, who had gotten to know the relationship between the two quite well, said mischievously. In Yoo-shin, who knew that it was meant to ease the tension, smiled awkwardly. Even while Hyeon Gyu-ha was digging the ground, the other hunters were on guard around them. There were no people in sight, but dirt was steadily rising from under the hole and piling up next to him. In Yoo-shin crouched down on the edge, a little away from the restless group, and watched the dirt pile up. "In Yoo-shin." I was so deep in thought that I didn't even notice anyone, but there was a hand tapping my shoulder. ------ Credits: Translator: Hoshi Miya Editor/Proofreader: We made a discord server! please join us!

The suppressed murderous intent boiled up in his expressionless, shadowless face, but disappeared as if washed away the moment he faced In Yoo-shin. Even so, the remains of the murderous intent remained as a cynicism that twisted the corners of his lips that drew elegant lines. “There is also destruction where vitality declines and gradually fades away. Animals will not be able to conceive, and plants will not be able to bear fruit and grains. The earth will dry up and dry out, and under the gray sky where not even the sun can shine its full light, it is a moderate and quiet destruction where resignation, not despair, dominates, slowly flowing to the end.” Destruction. Hyeon Gyu-ha ran his index finger across the keyboard as he said that. More than half of the keys that his fingers had touched turned to dust. “Then shall we look around somewhere else?” Hyeon Gyu-ha turned his back first and In Yoo-shin followed in silence as he walked ahead. The word stuck in his throat scratched his tongue, but he couldn't spit it out. Gyu-ha talks as if he experienced the destruction himself. Looking at the graffiti in the closet again, he felt strange. When he first saw this graffiti, he didn’t think he would be swept away by the gate. In Yoo-shin fiddled with the essence of the poison he received from Choi Jin-hyuk in his pocket. Leaving the locker room for the last time and going up to the second floor, Hyeon Gyu-ha burst two demons in succession. He didn’t know how many demons there were already. “Are the people outside okay?” Lee Hye-yeon and Choi Jin-hyuk were A-class hunters, so they would normally have no problem surviving. However, they had to fight to protect dozens of ordinary people with a small number of people. “It might not be of much use, but there are lower-level hunters and Awakened ones, so they’ll be able to hold out somehow. Finding the dungeon boss quickly will help.” Hyeon Gyu-ha clicked his tongue and rubbed the back of his neck. "It's a shame that we're indoors where the pool might collapse at any moment. If we had taken refuge in the outdoor pool, we wouldn't have had to worry about it. Hye-yeon is invincible in water, especially in the ocean." "Uh, then you're even better than Gyu-ha?" "Umm...…………." For some reason, Hyeon Gyu-ha made a very subtle expression at that question. "I could win, but as a Korean, I guess I should say it's a problem I can't win… He just asked a childish question about who would win if they fought, but suddenly he started talking about Koreans and things like that, and it became a grand scale. In Yoo-shin quickly followed him, who was one step ahead, because he was curious about the answer. "Did you hear the name of that sister's artifact?" "No?" "It’s called ‘Do not tell death’." In Yoo-shin, who thought it sounded old-fashioned, thought about his words and flinched. If you combine the words about being invincible in the sea and hiding death....... Th-that's why................ "Uh................ That, don’t tell me...................... That, uh......…............ " "Do you understand?" In Yoo-shin nodded his head fiercely. Fighting and winning against Lee Hye-yeon, who had deployed that artifact, felt a bit odd for a Korean like him. "That's why I don't really want to fight that older sister. I don't want to lose, but even if I win, I'll feel bad." "I'm asking just in case, but isn't that a Japanese artifact?" "It's a Joseon artifact. There's also a mini turtle ship artifact pattern on the shoulder, so ask her to show it to you when she’s wearing short sleeves." A mini turtle ship. Even the saying of that is cute. “Oh, now that I think about it, when I was in middle school, wasn’t there a huge news story about Noona catching a sea monster that other countries couldn’t catch? It was in Southern China?” “That’s right. As expected, your memory is good.” Hyeon Gyu-ha smiled as he praised In Yoo-shin for something trivial and got another chance to stroke his head. “To be exact, it was in Northern China. The gates in the waters near Lezhao went wild, and the sea monsters poured out in large numbers, but we couldn’t catch the boss. We mobilized S-class hunters, but there was no answer, so we secretly pushed them out to the sea in front of Lianyun and got rid of them.” Shandong Rizhao is part of North China, and Jiangsu Lianyun, which borders it, is part of South China. The South China government, the Republic of China, which was suddenly struck by lightning, strongly condemned it, but the People's Republic of China government in the north pretended not to know, saying there was no evidence. Since they were split from one country, they are called North China and South China, but South China is weaker than North China in terms of territory and national power. According to the logic of power that dominates the international community, the investigation into the truth was concluded haphazardly, and South China was in danger of covering up the damage. The South Korean government dispatched Lee Hye-yeon after receiving an SOS from the South China government. A week later, she took a promotional poster for the Ministry of the Interior, holding the crystal of the boss monster she had hunted like a crown. In other words, Lee Hye-yeon easily destroyed the evil spirit that North China had failed to catch and had barely managed to throw away in another country. My shoulders tense up for no reason. The best of all evil spirits is, after all, the national evil spirit. Even now, inside the dangerous gate where the evil spirit was bursting under the pressure right before his eyes, he walked side by side with Hyeon Gyu-ha, having a leisurely conversation. Was it because he looked no different than usual? The feeling of a sharp thorn sticking out from his chest lingered and lingered. A strange black and white world. Hyeon Gyu-ha, who sometimes walks ahead and sometimes walks alongside, but never puts the human spirit in front. And the red-tinted……………. “Yoo-shin-ssi, these stairs seem a little dangerous. I’ll carry you up, so come here.” “Ah, yes!” In Yoo-shin quickly approached, trying to suppress the awkward feeling of awkwardness that was like a foreign object. He looked around the main building and even the stands surrounding the stadium, but he couldn't find the dungeon boss. The only achievement was that he found the store. When he opened the refrigerator, the cold air that had been pent up flowed out. In Yoo-shin quickly closed the refrigerator door. "Can't I eat sealed snacks or ramen?" "It's possible as emergency food, but they say it doesn't taste good. It's like chewing on paper or sand." "This place really isn't a place to stay for long." "That's why the best strategy is for no one to enter the erosion gate. The level of the demons is not bad, but the environment is the biggest enemy. The only reward for clearing is that I survived." He left the store and looked around the archery range for the last time. There were many demons that Hyeon Gyu-ha had dealt with, but the dungeon boss was still nowhere to be seen. "I think it's on Guild Leader Narsha's side." "If I'm going to do it, I'd like to show off and take down the boss alone. The boss here is annoying to mentally attack, and he's also squishy, so it doesn't really go along with me." Unlike other demons that had animal forms to some extent, the amorphous demons that emerged from the erosion gate were more like slimes or liquid monsters. When he came out to the playground, he saw the remains of demons here and there. Fortunately, no one seemed to be hurt. At that moment, Gong Tae-seong also finished his search and suddenly swung his sword widely as he crossed the playground. White flames rose from the blade and burned the demons that were attacking from behind. "Whoa." “…….” Hyeon Gyu-ha stared at me as he inadvertently exclaimed. In Yoo-shin quickly added. "The sword energy launch is even cooler." "Of course." "Anyway, since the guild leader must have found it, I guess we can leave the dungeon." The white flames that burned the black and white world without shade had a mysterious beauty. The amorphous black demons without vocal cords or mouths were silently consumed by the white flames without a single word. In the white air, fragments of white flames danced. A flame blazed from the tip of Gong Tae-seong’s sword as he cleared away the nearby demons. It was a mysterious sight that naturally drew attention, proving that the nickname of the salt king was not given for nothing. Hyeon Gyu-ha’s gaze, which was watching In Yoo-shin, grew faint and he touched his shoulder. “Yoo-shin-ssi.” “Yes?” “The temperature of fire is the highest when it is blue.” “That’s what they say.” “White is the temperature below that.” “……?” “That guy’s awakening ability is also a white fire.” “Ah…….” Only then did In Yoo-shin understand Hyun Gyu-ha’s words and glanced at Gong Tae-seong walking away while burning the last demon. Did he hear it? It would have been better not to hear it, but judging from his expression, it seemed like he had already heard it. “If I had awakened pyrokinesis, it would have been blue fire.” “That’s right, right…………….” In Yoo-shin's heart pounded at the sight of Gong Tae-seong's expression, which seemed to indicate that he wanted to burn Hyeon Gyu-ha instead of using fire. We shouldn't fight here…................ Fortunately, Gong Tae-seong, who is sanguine but has common sense, ended up glaring at him. While glaring, his eyes seemed to sting for some reason. “Judging from the state of the dungeon, it seems like he found the boss and ran away, but his mouth is still alive and he’s still babbling.” In Yoo-shin corrected his thoughts. He was a little less common sense. He had nothing to say since Hyeon Gyu-ha was the one who started the fight without any reason. “You’re talking about someone else. What are you talking about when you couldn’t even burn the boss with fire and missed it?” “There was no boss.” “There wasn’t one in the west either.” “…….” The boss of the dungeon was neither in the west nor in the east. In an instant, a quiet silence fell. Lee Hye-yeon’s bewildered voice, approaching to mediate the two, echoed through the playground. “So now………………. The dungeon boss is nowhere to be found?” ------ Credits: Translator: Hoshi Miya Editor/Proofreader: We made a discord server! please join us!

119. Kiiik. When she opened the half-damaged door and entered, she saw a mess inside. There were bloodstains left here and there, and people lay scattered on the floor. It reminded her of the day the gate opened in New York; The day Bacardi invaded the center and killed countless people. With goosebumps, Amber involuntarily backed away. Then she bumped into a man who came in after her. “Are you okay?” The man in black asked if she was okay. "I’m okay. Come to think of it, I didn't ask for your name." “Yul-mu, please call me Yul-mu.” Yul-mu looked inside and frowned. "Let's take a look inside." This time, Yul-mu moved ahead. He inspected the lobby, saw that no one was alive, and went upstairs. The situation at the top was no different from the bottom. “Let’s go down again.” Amber nodded. And as a result of searching all over, she found a door to the basement behind a collapsed bookshelf. The two gradually descended. “It seems to go deeper than I thought.” "Yes." She couldn't hear the loud fighting outside anymore. And around that time, she found another door blocking her way. Amber swallowed her saliva. This was a branch of the Guardian Guild. A door in such a deep basement: what was the purpose of this place? 'Is it for evacuation?' It wasn't impossible. The Guardian Guild was built to serve as a shelter for local residents in case of emergency. But somehow it didn't feel right. “I’ll open it.” Yul-mu opened the door with force. It was so dark inside that they couldn't see anything. Amber rummaged through her bag and pulled out a small flashlight from her waist bag. Fortunately, the light came on as if it was not damaged. Amber raised the flashlight as it was. And after a while, she sat down on the spot with her hand covering her mouth. This was a laboratory. Test tubes were lined up on the left and right, and inside each were bizarrely transformed people. 'Are they even alive?' She put her hand on the nearest test tube and tapped it carefully. Then, the test subject that had been sitting still with its eyes closed began to wriggle. Then a voice came from behind. “No, who is this? No one can come here without permission?" She turned around and saw a gangster-looking, red-haired man in a leather jacket looking her way. He resembled a human. Those eyes. The deadly eyes inside the sockets showed that he was not. As soon as he noticed, Yulmu, who was close to him, stepped forward and swung the weapon on his back. “Ho come on!” The man easily dodged the attack. Taking advantage of that gap, Amber also launched a mental attack on him. She was weak in the attack aspect, but her attacks weren't without effect. The man staggered for a moment, and Yul-mu’s ax drove into his chest. 'Did I succeed?' Amber glared at him as she swallowed her saliva. "Shit!" Tiamat let out a harsh sound. It was not easy to deal with just Seon-woo alone, but the others also assisted with the attack. And if one felt tired, they took turns with someone else. Her stomach was boiling. They were really doing a gigantic monster raid. What was even more annoying was that it was quite effective. Her attacks were blocked every time, and it was impossible to escape. They knew how to block her when she did. In the middle of it, her head was shaking and hurting. Mental abilities were trying to interfere with Tiamat's mind. She was of a great race, so of course it didn't work, but her mind went wild. She couldn't concentrate on the battle. She tried to fly once, but gave up due to the concentrated attacks on her wings. Meanwhile, the damage was steadily piling up. At least she was holding on because she has a strong body, but if she had been in human form, she might have died long ago. 'What the hell is he doing?' She remembered the guy who came to destroy the branch together, but he didn't show up. Was he still staying underground? He should have just lit a fire and come out. Tiamat clicked her tongue. It had been a while since that happened. Tiamat was tired, and the people of the Seon-hyeon Guild were also tired. However, Seon-woo wanted to completely get rid of Tiamat. “Get ready.” For that reason, they brought some more people just in case. The people who had been protected so far in the back raised their hands bathed in light. At the same time, stamina began to return to the guild members who were tired due to the fighting so far. Even their minds became clearer. “I heard that black dragons in the Demon Realm are not good at using recovery magic.” Seon-woo said calmly. “Then shall we fight again?” Lena stepped forward as courageously as the first time. Ain and the other guild members did the same. 'Somehow I don’t have a good feeling about this.' It seemed that this place would be her graveyard. ‘But I won’t give up my life so easily.’ At least most of them should die with her. Tiamat sighed as she thought so. “Gasp gasp” The flashlight had long since been broken, and the lab plunged into darkness again. Meanwhile, the only sound that remained was Yul-mu’s heavy breathing. The red-haired man didn't die all at once. He tried to kill the two of them, turning into a monstrous figure once more, just like Bacardi had done. Yul-mu nodded and grabbed his weapon. “Should we look for the data now?” Fortunately, it seemed that they had arrived before the man had destroyed all the information. The experimental data remained intact. The personal information of the people who became the test subjects and what they wanted were written in detail, followed by research data on the combination of humans and demons. [The more outstanding the Awakened, the better he adapts to the Demonic energy. But that doesn't mean anything. Even those without any ability can change the world only when they are dyed with demonic energy and able to fight.] After reading all of that, Amber spat out the words with a dejected expression. “That’s crazy.” “I agree.” Yul-mu stuffed data into the bag she was carrying. Some were photographed. He wished there was some data entered into the computer, but there was nothing there. Having collected the date, it was time to decide on the treatment of the remaining test subjects. ‘But how?’ Most were dead, but some were alive. But looking into the eyes, it seemed as if their intellect had disappeared. As usual, of course she would hand over everything to the Guardian Guild, but this time she couldn't. Because this was a branch of the Guardian Guild. In addition, her intuition was shouting that she should not let other members of the Guardian Guild know about it. 'Then what should I do?' Amber asked again. Yul-mu stared at Amber, who was standing there blankly. It was something hesitating. “Did you all know?” “What do you mean?” “That the Guardian Guild was doing this kind of experiment.” “We didn't even know everything. But I hadn't suspected as much." Doubt. Until now, she had never had the slightest doubt. The Guardian Guild worked to protect the people of the world, so she thought they stood for justice. But the association of the Guardian Guild with the sense of justice, which had been firmly established, began to shake. Amber ended her brief thought. “I’ll help you.” "Yes?" “Aren’t you short of help? Let me help you. I have memorized all the locations of the Guardian Guild Branch. If you are looking for something in particular, I can find it for you.” “Why?” “Because the Guardian Guild must be brought to justice.” She didn't think that just because she'd seen the fallen and believed the truth, everyone would. So, she would just need to expose the rotten parts. “What if.” "Yes." “Even if the guild leader is the cause of everything, can you help?” “You are talking about Leon-nim?" "Yes." Amber gritted her teeth. However, the answer has already been decided. “Yes, I’ll help.” “Good then. Please follow me.” Yul-mu went up the basement ahead of her. As the two stepped outside, they saw a huge dragon anchored to the ground with chains and stakes. The wounded dragon bled profusely, but was still alive. “Yul-mu.” Lena sang to Yul-mu while wiping her sweat with a refreshing expression. “You did a great job.” "This.” "Unn! You did it! I am just about to wrap this up. In fact, it would be nice to pull out the information, but the mental attack rarely worked. But I didn't think it would be a testimony to us, so I was deciding whether to kill it or not. But have I seen you before? " “My name is Amber. I'll be with you in the future, so please take good care of me. ” “Ah, Amber. What are you doing? " “She’s a guild member of the Guardian Guild.” “I’m working at the central headquarters.” "What? But why is such a person here?” Lena made a puzzled expression. “For justice.” Amber left only those words and moved closer to the dragon. “If you don’t mind, can I approach it for a moment before you kill it?” Seon-woo looked down at Amber and nodded. Amber took a deep breath and put both of her hands on the messed up dragon's head. "Get…lost!" Tiamat growled and tried to push Amber away, but it was no use as she was thoroughly restrained. And Amber began to seep into Tiamat's mind. - That guy is This guy Chapter 111
111. Clack, boom! Chae Yoo-jeong, very embarrassed, stood up without knowing what to do. The chair that was pushed by the rough gesture fell to the floor, making a loud noise. “Hyu-hyung.” When I finally met Chae Yoo-jeong for the first time in a long time, his face was filled with fear rather than joy. The pale-faced man hesitated and took a step back. I watched the action silently and then explained. “I stopped by for a moment at the request of Tae-young. Hyung is now with coach Yoo Gyeong-seok… Didn’t he say that? We were in the hallway, talking to him.” “Ah…………….” Chae Yoo-jeong, who was staring at me in fascination, quickly turned his head and covered his face with his hand. I left his reactions be and looked inside his hospital room. The interior of what appeared to be a single room was quite large and clean. I slowly walked inside and spoke to Chae Yoo-jeong, who was still stiff. “Come on.” Chae Yoo-jeong, startled, shook his head. His complexion was still extremely pale. “I can’t smell, so come closer.” “…….” I could tell right away from Chae Yoo-jeong’s behavior as I sat in front of him with the window open. Clicking my lips as if I had been punctured in the head, I waited for a while and then carefully narrowed the distance towards Chae Yoo-jeong who seemed conflicted. I waited patiently, and when I was three steps away from Chae Yoo-jeong, I spoke again. “I heard something from Coach Yoo Gyeong-seok, whom I met in the hallway before coming here.” “…….” “I heard you don’t eat properly or sleep well. And then you refuse all counseling and medication.” Chae Yoo-jeong lowered his head, unable to meet my gaze. The situation he was facing seemed exceedingly difficult to bear. “What is the reason for your refusal? Are you protesting to make me feel guilty?” “What? N-no! I didn’t!” “How can I believe that?” As I responded indifferently, Chae Yoo-jeong’s eyes instantly turned bright red. Before I knew it, Chae Yoo-jeong lowered his wet eyes and forced himself to swallow his cries as he stuttered to explain. “I-f I…… receive counseling, I will definitely get stronger... And be prescribed medicine.” “And then?” “Strong drugs make me drowsy… My mind would be blank all day... I was planning to eat it after the season was over.” “The result is you collapsing?” “… I-I tried to hold on a little longer, but it didn’t work out. Once I start taking medication, I can’t stop it midway, but then I’ll have problems with practicing and competing in games…” Chae Yoo-jeong, who had a tough time holding back his tears, continued to breathe heavily and spoke in a wet voice. “I didn’t mean to make you feel guilty. Really, really not. I thought you had completely forgotten about me.” At the part he said that I thought I had forgotten, Chae Yoo-jeong’s eyes could clearly be seen filling up with tears again. “Sorry. Don’t worry Hyung... I didn’t mean to trouble you but ended up in doing so… I tried to be very active. Otherwise, it would make me pathetic… I’ll take care of my behavior.” Chae Yoo-jeong, who was staring at me with a frozen expression, eventually closed his eyes. His face was much paler than before. It was equally difficult for me as I had to intentionally bring up hurtful stories. The sharp pain radiated through me like a sharp needle gouging out my chest. “I don’t… like it, Hyung. I don’t like it….” Chae Yoo-jeong, who was silently shedding tears for a long time, begged me as if grasping at a straw. “I’m really not confident about that. I can’t do it………………” “No, you can. You have to do it.” “Hyung, please. I……………” “If you regret lying and deceiving me, do it no matter what. It’s the only favor I can ask you in this situation.” I had been waiting for Chae Yoo-jeong for the past three months, hoping that he would show a different side of himself, even if it was just a small change, but in the end, he failed. Now there was nothing more I could do. Like I said to Chae Yoo-jeong, I also planned to live my life forgetting about this guy. Now, I won’t even watch the game competition and I’ll also delete the number that I couldn’t delete until now. Currently, there was no trust or belief between me and Chae Yoo-jeong, only my distrust and Chae Yoo-jeong’s obsession. Even if we stayed by each other’s side, our distrust and obsession would only deepen, and there was no chance of trust or confidence being restored. So the ending we had to face was this. “I’ll go.” “Hyung……………….” “Be well.” After saying my farewells, I turned away from Chae Yoo-jeong. But before I could take a few steps, my arm was grabbed by Chae Yoo-jeong. The more I listened, the more frustrated my heart became. When I couldn’t hold back any longer and let out a small sigh, Chae Yoo-jeong’s eyes, which had been tense, shook uneasily. “Stop being needlessly stubborn and get counseling. Take medicine. If you have a problem like this, of course you have to take care of your mind first, is the game that important? Is the team forcing you to do it?” “That’s not it…………………” “If you really care about me, don’t make me come here like this.” “Sorry. I will try my best.” “Chae Yoo-jeong, I want you to make that effort….” Without realizing it, I stopped talking for a moment. However, since it was me who had come to visit the patient to say this, I opened my mouth again without hesitation. “I hope you use it to forget me.......okay?” Chae Yoo-jeong’s face became blank. He seemed unable to understand what I had just said. “Stop looking into me, stop watching broadcasts... Don’t even look up what I’m doing in game.” “W-what… Hyung.” “Delete my number. Don’t ask people around you about me. Just like that… Get rid of everything, Chae Yoo-jeong.” Chae Yoo-jeong, who distorted the corners of his eyes, eventually began to pour out his thick teardrops. “Why, what’s wrong? I, uh, ugh… Did I do something wrong again?” He shed a surprising number of tears. Even though I was watching him do so, I didn’t even touch Chae Yoo-jeong. I desperately wanted to wipe away his tears right away, so I pressed my shaking hand down with force. “It’s wrong for you to like me too much. To be honest… I don’t think that’s normal.” “W-wait a minute… Hyung, wait a minute. Don’t go!” “…….” “Like this… It can’t end like this. I, I… Hyung and I...………….” Chae Yoo-jeong, who was trembling and holding my arm with both hands, looked at me earnestly. I could tell even without hearing what words were not spoken until the end. “You think you and I are destined?” Even though it got to this point, Yoo-jeong was still immersed in fate and not looking at the present, and a sigh of despair rose up to the tip of my throat. ‘What I want from you is not to dwell on fateful words…’ “This is not fate, Chae Yoo-jeong.” If I had to be honest, I guessed it was a relationship full of mistakes. Because it gave me and Chae Yoo-jeong bad memories. “Think carefully about what I just said and what I meant. Until then, I don’t want to talk to you anymore. I’m going now then.” Chae Yoo-jeong’s hand, which had been holding me with great effort, fell down. I opened the door to the hospital room and came out into the hallway, leaving Chae Yoo-jeong behind with unfocused eyes. As I left the hospital room filled with soggy and wet feelings, the cool hallway air touched my skin. I felt as if I had come out of my dream and returned to reality. “Ha…………… “ A strong fatigue came over me, as if I had run with all his might. Pressing my puffy eyes, I let out a tired breath and took my phone out of my jacket. I quietly looked down at Chae Yoo-jeong’s cell phone number saved in the phone log and pressed the edit button. [Do you want to delete the contact information?] I stared at the information message for a moment and then clicked [Delete]. Following Chae Yoo-jeong, the number saved as Yoo Chae was also deleted. [Deleted.] Two numbers disappeared from the phone log where various people’s numbers were stored. I finally deleted Chae Yoo-jeong’s number, which I had been unable to do before. My chest felt heavy and uncomfortable, like I wasn’t wearing my own skin. But I didn’t recover the number and just put the cell phone in my jacket. ‘This is the end.’ Or at least for me, it is. From now on, it was Chae Yoo-jeong’s responsibility. If only he knew and understood how I felt when I said those words... There may be something more between us, but he wouldn’t know until then. “Uh, are you finished talking?” Seo Tae-young, who had gone down to the cafe on the first floor with Yoo Gyeong-seok, spotted me and approached me. “Yes. Thanks to you for leaving his seat, we had a good conversation.” “How about you? How is Yoo-jeong?” “He wanted to rest alone now, so I came out first.” “I see? Then I guess I’ll see you later.” After chatting a few words with Seo Tae-young and Yoo Gyeong-seok, I left the hospital, asking for their understanding that I would go first because I had work to do. As I crossed the central hall of the hospital and came out, a lot of light pink cherry blossom petals flew in from somewhere. This time too, it looked like snow falling on a winter night. -Today, I am the happiest of all. When I saw the cherry blossom petals fluttering under the sky, Chae Yoo-jeong’s voice came to mind. 118. Hyeon-woo’s guards changed every day. However, the interrogators were fixed, and the more he looked at them, the worse he felt. They were the actual villains who refused to be content with their humanity and had accepted demonic energy. “How did you manage to hide it?” At Hyeon-woo's sarcastic remarks, the woman who came in for interrogation smiled brightly. “Isn’t it the same for you?” "At least I've never harmed anyone." Hyeon-woo said firmly. “Ah, it must be frustrating that such an upright person has been imprisoned here.” “Are you kidding me?” “Oh my, isn’t it?” The woman smiled heartily. Then, like Leon, she informed him of the outside news. “Your life is over. You have already been cast as a villain. A demonstration is taking place in front of the Seon-hyeon Guild building protesting you. Being a guild member of the Seon-hyeon Guild is no longer an enviable position. They are terrorized by citizens. I heard that the conflict between the guild leader and the people is not easy.” She told Hyeon-woo the gruesome truth. “I don’t believe it.” “The world doesn't work the way you want it to. Come to think of it, you were close with Han Do-jin, right? Did you know that the Peace Guild is also broken?" The woman constantly whispered bad news into Hyeon-woo's ear. Even though he knew that couldn't be the case, his heart pounded, making him feel as if he wanted to cry when he kept listening. "How is it? Does everything seem to be going the way you want it to?” An answer came through the phone at Leon’s words. - Okay. “The world has already abandoned Ji Hyeon-woo. There are no crimes, but all sorts of rumors are circulating. Most of it is our work, though." - …How is Hyeon-woo? “Isn’t it painful? Humans cannot live on their own. He will soon have a hatred for the world.” - Is it really so? “It is. I'm a demon who always keeps promises. Shouldn't you also be moving slowly? Doesn’t Ji Hyeon-woo still have lingering feelings in this world?” - I'm still thinking about that. “When it comes to love, people are not greater than demons.” Leon raised the corners of his mouth and smirked. With that, the conversation ended. But even with this response, Alberg would eventually move. After all, demons were such beings. Miriel wanted to drink a warm cup of hot chocolate today. However, Ga-jun, the one that usually made it for her, was away. ‘It can’t be hard to make.' Ga-jun did it, so she should be able to do it too. Thinking so, Miriel entered the kitchen and overheard part of the conversation of Alberg. “Cell phone?" Ga-jun did not give his phone to Miriel or Alberg. All he had to do was hand him a small remote control-like machine to press if there was an urgent call. Of course, if she was interested, she could get a mobile phone and use it, but something was suspicious. 'Because the other is a demon.' Miriel erased the hot chocolate from her mind and blurred her presence. ‘‘Did he ask how Ji Hyeon-woo was doing?’ The people who were currently in the US were Ji Seon-woo and Han Do-jin. So, was Alberg talking to one of them? 'But no.' This was the instinct of an angel. Miriel overheard the conversation until the end, then returned her stance. “Miriel?” “Get out of the way, Demon.” "What's going on in the kitchen?" “I’m making hot chocolate and will drink it.” At those words, Alberg's sharp spirit diminished. “Are you even able to?” “I’ve seen it done a lot.” “Okay then, do it yourself and drink it.” With those words, Alberg left the kitchen. Miriel had something remaining to say, so she took out hot chocolate powder to pretend. "They said you just need to heat up the milk and warm it." But since her head was full of other thoughts, she couldn't get it right. She ended up making hot chocolate, but the taste was subtly bitter. Besides, the kitchen was a mess, so it was a certain future that Ga-jun would come back and put his head to the task of cleaning this. 'Now, what should we do with this?' There was a way to tell Ga-jun, but she could get caught eavesdropping on the conversation if she got it wrong. Alberg was a strong demon that even the Demon Realm recognized. Miriel fell into trouble while drinking the messed up hot chocolate. *** “Wow, whoa!” Amber gasped and parked her bike near the Guardian branch. It was an old bike, so it was difficult to drive properly because of the creaking sound. She would rather have run, but she, who has mental abilities, did not have outstanding physical strength compared to other Awakened. “But still, I’ve arrived.” After tidying up her clothes and going to the branch office, her steps slowed to a stop. She didn't have a good feeling about this. In the past, when Bacardi invaded the central branch, she had to endure it no matter how bad it felt, but isn't that the case now? It was right not to go if it was dangerous. 'But why?' It was at best a small branch on the outskirts. But why did she think it was dangerous? Amber swallowed. 'What should I do?' Should she go and get information or run away? While hesitating, the branch office door suddenly opened and a person jumped out. He opened his mouth and tried to scream, but the scream soon vanished into thin air. Something protruding from inside grabbed the man by the neck and dragged him into the road. 'Someone broke into the branch!' She needed a phone, a phone. Amber slowly stepped back. Like someone who doesn't know anything, She tried to distance herself like that. However, she couldn't do that because someone jumped out again. "Ack!" Amber dodged the attack by rolling on the floor desperately. “Oh, is this a new guest?” A woman with long black hair stood in front of her. But somehow it was a familiar face. 'Where have I seen her?' But there was no time to sustain her thoughts. The woman immediately unleashed her next attack, which Amber desperately dodged. Then she stood and she made a desperate attack. As a person with mental abilities, the only thing she could do was to dig into the other person's brain, but it was more effective than anything else she had. 'As long as it works.' Amber gritted her teeth. “How funny. But that won’t work.” The woman's hand moved closer and closer to Amber. Was she going to die like this? She trembled with fear. And just as the long fingernails were about to drive into Amber's forehead, the temperature around them began to drop. "You're lucky." The woman, Tiamat, left Amber behind. "Long time no see?" There was Seon-woo, whom she had met several times. “How did you get here?” "By chance." "By chance?" Seon-woo's words were not wrong. For a small branch located on the outskirts, Leon came and went frequently. That was why he decided to stop by here first. Because of the old bicycle, Amber's movement was slow, while Seon-woo's was fast. It was a miracle that they happened to meet. “Ji Seon-woo! Careful. This woman is strong!” "I know." Seon-woo immediately froze the surroundings and started creating water droplets. The water droplets quickly froze into ice cubes, which began to spin in their place. “Everyone, stay alert.” “Yes!” Lena and Muk-hyeon took out their weapons and stood behind Seon-woo. Seeing this, Tiamat smiled lightly. “Looks like it was easy for me too.” Then, she pounced on Seon-woo, pulling out her fingernails. But there was something Tiamat overlooked. Seon-woo had never beaten her, but at that time, his physical condition was not normal. Besides, he was not alone now, having other guild members. Ain, the 1st team leader, and Lena, the 2nd team leader. The two entered the guild with admiration for Seon-woo and cleared more dungeons than anyone else. The longer the time they spent together, the more synchronized their collaboration became, and the effect was showing here. When Tiamat moved backward to avoid Seon-woo's attack, Lena was there. If she tried to avoid that, Ain would put pressure on her. In addition, the mobilized guild members fired support shots from a distance. Now they were raiding together. “Shesh.” Even if she clicked her tongue, nothing changed. Eventually, Tiamat returned her body to its original state. "Yeah, that's how you feel about fighting!" Lena shouted and vigorously raised her weapon. “Giant monsters are my specialty!” The same was true for Ain. Seeing them like that, Tiamat felt a sense of crisis for the first time in a long time. "Are you okay?" One of the guild members approached Amber and asked. "Yes, it will be okay." She just rolled a few times. Amber got up and moved to a safe place. 'Come to think of it, why are they here?' Shouldn't they be trying to get Hyeon-woo out by now? Why were they fighting monsters here? Amber sifted through her thoughts. As a result, conclusions were drawn. 'There is something here to clear Hyeon-woo of the false accusation.' Yeah, something was strange from the moment a monster came out of the branch. Amber stood up. If she could help them fight, she had to do what she could. “I will investigate the branch.” "It could be dangerous, so I'll go with you." "Thank you." However, seeing that no one came out even after this uproar, it seemed unlikely that there would be any more enemies. Amber was convinced and headed to the branch. - That guy is This guy Chapter 110
110. This winter, which had particularly heavy snowfall, came to an end in March. The temperature rose sharply the day after the rain poured down as if there was a hole in the sky. Spring came with the start of the semester and became more vivid in April. “The weather is nice~.” Kim Dae-seok threw the cigarette butt into the trash can and spat out a word with a vain look on his face. Kim Dae-seok, who said he would definitely get a girlfriend this year and go on a spring outing, failed on all three blind dates. At this point, I was amazed at how the women he met on blind dates returned as close friends rather than lovers. “Hey, Yoo Ji-han. Aren’t you going to see the flowers?” “There’s an exam, so how do I go?” April, when cherry blossoms bloom, meant midterm exams. Just like Kim Dae-seok, I threw the finished cigarette into the trash can and left the smoking room. “Why don’t you go see flowers instead of playing games? You played Zenoris yesterday too.” “What the hell are you talking about, didn’t you play yesterday too?” “Because you abandoned me and missed the cherry blossom event? This Dae-seok is sad.” ”Shut up, you idiot. I had a prior agreement with my guild members, so what am I supposed to do?” I shook off Kim Dae-seok’s arm which was holding my shoulder and walked to the campus cafe where Eun Hae-seong was waiting. A warm spring breeze blew from the front and cherry blossom petals flew by. The light pink cherry blossom petals fluttering under the blue sky somehow resembled snowflakes. Snow pouring down into the dark night sky. “…….” Three months have passed since that winter day when I last met and talked to Chae Yoo-jeong. The guy hasn’t contacted me even once. He didn’t log into Zenoris either. I worked part-time for 3 months and also played Zenoris. Kang Ji-hye, who has known Chae Yoo-jeong for a long time, did not bother to bring up the topic of ‘Yoo Chae’ in front of me. It was like before I got to know Chae Yoo-jeong, my hectic time returned to how it used to be. Ordinary and peaceful... It was a boring daily life. After finishing the lecture, I returned home, took a shower, and sat in front of the computer, as was my habit. After checking the time a little after 6 o’clock, I thought about it for a while and turned on the e-sports broadcast, not playing the game. -This is dangerous! Arus, can you withstand the attack? -Wait a minute, if you do this, Rhett will get 3 kills! If you fall back...……………. -Oh, my. Support from the LVS team has arrived. It’s hard to live with this. Yes, the LVS team ended up getting 3 kills! -Great. As soon as I turned on the broadcast screen, I heard the commentators shouting. A game screen was replayed showing the opposing team being mercilessly killed. -Gamgack arrived at a really good time. If you look here... It goes round and round like this? -Yes! It must not have been easy to make a decision in this situation. -If you’re not careful, you could miss a kill and endanger your teammates. However, the LVS team took the perfect advantage by spinning around, hiding itself and arriving at the right time. -When Arus died, the turret was given away. In this way, the gold gap widened further. At the bottom of the screen, a cam screen of Chae Yoo-jeong competing in real time appeared. Chae Yoo-jeong, who was noticeably thinner than when we met in January, was staring at the monitor with an expressionless face. I watched the HOL spring season competition held in March whenever I had time. This is the first time in my life that I had been following a HOL match to this degree, but I had no choice as it was the only way to check on Chae Yoo-jeong’s condition. I was able to see Chae Yoo-jeong taking turns competing with Tenet players about three or four times a month. Chae Yoo-jeong’s condition, as seen on the cam, worsened day by day. It should be easy for him to forget since three months have passed, but clearly Chae Yoo-jeong still misses him too much. ‘This is not good.’ Chae Yoo-jeong’s lies and Kim Eui-chan’s lies were fundamentally different. Chae Yoo-jeong’s excessive obsession with me created the lie, so if he didn’t resolve that obsession, there was no point in pointing out the lie. Chae Yoo-jeong, if he could keep me by his side, he would have used any means possible. This time, what he used was a lie. So I said that to Chae Yoo-jeong on purpose. -Unless you change, I can’t have any expectations. but………………. ‘I expected it... Still, it’s a bit bittersweet.’ Chae Yoo-jeong did not change and the situation worsened. He didn’t even seem to understand what I meant. I leaned back on my chair and with mixed feelings, I grabbed the mouse while watching the broadcast. Does it make sense for me to watch the game? Or am I expecting something too difficult for Chae Yoo-jeong? This was my first time in a situation like this, so I wasn’t sure which choice was the right one. Meanwhile, the players were caught on camera getting up from their seats after the last game. -LVS team, it’s scary. Isn’t it all wins to this day? -You’re right. We are firmly maintaining our first-place position without losing a single game. -This time, it must not have been easy because the opponent was Team TW, but it’s surprising. The LVS team players got up from their seats and walked to the opposing team’s seats. After the game was over, the winning team went to the losing team’s booth, shook each other’s hands, and greeted each other in the center of the stadium. At that time, Chae Yoo-jeong’s body, who was walking from the second seat to the opposing team’s booth following the person in front, stumbled greatly. Chae Yoo-jeong, who tilted his upper body too far forward, was unable to maintain his balance and fell to the floor. “……!” -Uh? Wait… What happened? - ‘Gamgack’ player? Are you okay, ‘Gamgack’ player? With the words of the flustered commentator, the inside of the stadium instantly became chaotic. Chae Yoo-jeong was unable to come to his senses even as several staff members rushed to check on his body. With that, the screen quickly changed to a highlight play video. I was speechless at that shocking sight. What happened? I was frustrated with the broadcast screen that did not properly inform me of Chae Yoo-jeong’s condition, so I grabbed the monitor roughly with my hand without realizing it. My mind was tangled in confusion. What condition is Chae Yoo-jeong in? Is he conscious? Is his body so bad that he collapses while walking? I couldn’t figure out anything. I bit my lower lip, feeling my heart pounding unpleasantly. No. I closed my eyes tightly, feeling myself sinking downwards. ‘If it continues like this………………’ *** Chae Yoo-jeong was transferred to a nearby university hospital, where he was confirmed to be hospitalized for four days. Over the last 3 months his weight has dropped drastically and every time he eats he vomits, and his throat hurts a lot. He was suffering from insomnia due to severe stress, so he had no choice but to be hospitalized. “I’m going crazy because of you, really.” Yoo Gyeong-seok, who came in after talking to the front desk, collapsed on the chair next to the bed in the hospital room and clutched his head. “What the hell is the problem? Why are you doing this?” “… … I felt dizzy for a moment. That’s it.” “Don’t talk nonsense. Did you faint for a moment because you were dizzy and couldn’t get up for two hours? Do you think 2 hours is a brief time?” Despite Yoo Gyeong-seok’s sarcastic remarks, Chae Yoo-jeong only looked at his wrist where the needle was stuck with a somber expression. Seeing no response, Yoo Gyeong-seok, who was tired of struggling, pressed his forehead, which was throbbing from a headache, and asked. “Why didn’t you take your medicine?” “…….” “You’ve been taking it well so far without being nagged, so why are you suddenly not taking it? You’ve never been this bad before.” “…… Just. I don’t want to take it.” “Who takes medicine because they want to? You take it because you’re sick. You can’t sleep well right now, so you’re not taking medicine just because you don’t want to? Let’s have counseling again and take medicine. Huh?” Even though he said it again as if he was pleading, Chae Yoo-jeong did not respond. Since he was young, he had a personality that he wouldn’t do something if he didn’t like it, even if it meant dying, so there was no way he would listen to it now. If he missed practice because he was sick and couldn’t concentrate during the game, he could have used that as a valid excuse to come out and recuperate, but Chae Yoo-jeong’s practice was perfect and his game was even more perfect. Well, there was no answer to this. “Ha… I don’t know. Okay, so take a break first. Let’s talk again later.” Yoo Gyeong-seok scratched the back of his head and eventually declared surrender and left the hospital room. Left alone, Chae Yoo-jeong leaned back against the head of the bed and closed his eyes. Fortunately, there was still a week left until Chae Yoo-jeong’s next match. Chae Yoo-jeong still refused counseling and medication after a day. He spent most of the day in front of the half-open window. He has been hospitalized for two days. Just like yesterday he sat in front of the window and rested her chin. Yoo Gyeong-seok, who was looking at Chae Yoo-jeong, who was sleeping and looking outside, with a worried heart, received a call. “Yoo-jeong, Tae-young is coming to visit you in the hospital. They just arrived.” Chae Yoo-jeong’s eyelids trembled slightly when he heard that Seo Tae-young had arrived. “I’m going to buy drinks for the guests, so please be quiet. okay?” Even when Yoo Gyeong-seok left the hospital room, Chae Yoo-jeong did not turn his head to see him leave and he still looked out the window. A garden full of spring flowers shone brightly under the warm midday sunlight. Chae Yoo-jeong’s bangs were slightly swaying in the spring breeze blowing through him. How much time had passed, the hospital room door, which had been closed, opened again with a clicking sound. Chae Yoo-jeong, who thought that Yoo Gyeong-seok had returned, did not turn his gaze away from him this time either. Cherry blossom petals appeared from nowhere and flew all the way to where he was. “Chae Yoo-jeong.” A low, soft voice echoed in the quiet hospital room. When Chae Yoo-jeong heard that, his eyes widened, and he quickly looked behind him. A man wearing a navy-blue jacket was standing in front of the hospital room door, half bathed in the midday sunlight. The face revealed beneath his jet-black hair was the person Chae Yoo-jeong had missed so much for the past three months. - My Younger Brother is a Hero Chapter 117
117. Hero's Chain. The item that once troubled Hyeon-woo was wrapped around him once again. In that state, he was locked in a cube-shaped room. But even so, it seemed that they were not satisfied. Awakened stood guard on all sides. 'Very determined, huh.' Hyeon-woo clicked his tongue. Still, it was fortunate that Seon-woo and Do-jin did not know his current situation. He knew how much they cared for him, so he couldn't show how bad his condition was. 'I'll regret it later.' He didn't want to let that happen. As he was dozing off like that, he heard a familiar voice in his ear. "It's nice to see you being so calm." It was Leon's voice. Hyeon-woo raised his eyelids and glared at him. Leon was standing across from the restrained Hyeon-woo, looking down at him. 'Who are you to look down on me!' If only his body was free, he would have beaten him. “Isn’t it funny? People don't even know who their enemies are, and they doubt you without thinking. Your country has abandoned you.” “So what?” “I was flattered, and then I changed my mind in an instant.” The whispering sound tried to stir his heart. Because of that, Hyeon-woo learned what Leon was doing. He seemed to want Hyeon-woo to hate the same human race. “For their own benefit.” He knows. Despite knowing this, Hyeon-woo was able to gather his mind. In the first place, Hyeon-woo did not have high expectations for people. It was because he had seen many people in the Demon Realm who became despicable depending on the situation. People were weak. When he was in trouble, he didn't hesitate to throw others as scapegoats. There were some who did not, but only a few. Knowing that, revealing Leon's identity and trying to save the world was all about protecting the people he loved. He hoped Seon-woo was happy. He wanted to see Do-jin's smile. When he reached Ga-jun, he was a bit worried, but he didn't want him to be unhappy. He didn't like him at first and beat him up, but lately he felt like a friend. “In a way, it seems that humans are more evil than demons.” Hearing Leon whisper like a snake, Hyeon-woo closed his eyes again. Because it didn't sound good. *** Amber spit out the tea she was drinking at the sudden news. “Pff- what now?” “I heard that Ji Hyeon-woo was identified as a villain and was being transferred to the United States.” The man who had come to deliver the news wiped his face in displeasure. But he couldn't even think of apologizing to Amber. “Isn't there something wrong with that? Ji Hyeon-woo is not that kind of person." If it had not been for Hyeon-woo's help that day, more people would have died at the hands of Bacardi. If the Central Headquarters could not do its job, the Awakened who were fighting in other regions would have suffered great damage. But now suddenly the person who helped them was a villain? Amber couldn't believe it. “You have to believe. Leon said he witnessed it himself.” “Leon-nim saw?” "That's right." The man nodded his head with a firm expression. “Leon-nim must have misunderstood something.” Considering what Hyeon-woo had done up until now, it was not unreasonable for him to think that way. But the man's reply was cold. “Are you suspicious of Leon-nim?” It was not like that. It was not that she doubts Leon-nim. She knew what she had to say, but strangely, her words didn't come out. “I’ve known you for a long time, so I understand that you are shaken. But make sure to not share that. Your life's on the line in this business, Amber.” "Yes." The man left only those words and turned back. Amber, who was left behind, ran her hand through her hair and bit her lip. 'It can't be.' Something was wrong. Amber wanted to dig into the situation a bit more closely. She found out that the reason Hyeon-woo was villainified was because he used demonic energy. It was like Bacardi. 'But the only harm done was injuring some people in the airport, right?' He said that no one was seriously injured in the riot. Amber bit her nails. She thought she fixed the habit she had as a child, but it popped out again because of stress. Amber believed in Leon. Thanks to his achievements, people could live more comfortably avoiding the threat of monsters. He was a righteous man who was indispensable to the world. She knew that, but strangely, she kept thinking of Hyeon-woo. Amber, who hesitated, got up from her seat and asked to go out. And she hurriedly drove out of the Guardian Guild headquarters. Arriving in a remote village on the outskirts, Amber rang the bell of a house. Shortly thereafter, an old woman with a gentle impression came out. “Ooh, Amber. How long has this been?” "How are you, Grandma?" After the second generation of missing people, the number of people who spontaneously awakened intermittently had increased. And Amber's grandmother was one of those people. “I guess I’m Awakened. What a joke, huh?” Of course, Amber's grandmother treated it as a joke. It was true that her body became more healthy, but she could not do great things like the common Awakened. There was only one thing she could do. “Grandma, I have a request for you. Could you take a look at this person’s picture?” The feeling she had originally had intensified. She couldn't do much with her powers, but it was quite a help in everyday life. Amber showed her grandmother a picture of Hyeon-woo that she had prepared in advance. “Oh, what a pretty boy he is.” “He’s a young man.” "Oh my, it's hard to guess Asian people's age because they look young." Her grandmother fixed her glasses and stared at her picture. Then Amber asked her. “Is this person a bad person?” “Is he a bad person? No, I don't think so." “Is he a villain?” “Villains are bad people who ruin society, right? Then, no.” When everyone doubted her abilities, Amber was sure. Her grandmother had the ability to uncover the truth. She was especially clear after her awakening. She was convinced for that reason. 'Ji Hyeon-woo is not a bad person!' There was some misunderstanding. Amber thought she should tell Leon about this. Since Leon was a fair person, if he listened to Amber, he would change his mind about Hyeon-woo again. She thought so and left her grandmother's house. And the moment she was about to get back into the car, an ominous feeling ran down her spine. Amber carefully removed her hand from the car and stepped back. Although not like her grandmother, Amber, a strong mental Awakened, also had a sense of it from time to time. 'Someone touched the car.' She slipped away and leaned over to look under the car. At first glance, it looked fine, but her mood deteriorated to the point where her head was throbbing. Amber, who stood up again, fell away from the car. 'How do I get back now?' While thinking about it, she thought of the nearest Guardian Guild headquarters. At first, she felt like she had to go there. It was a bit far to walk, so she looked around to find a means of transportation. Then she saw an old bicycle strewn about under a streetlight. “It’s been a while since I’ve ridden a bicycle.” Amber got on the bike and pedaled vigorously. Fortunately, its condition was good enough to get to her destination. *** As soon as the private jet of the Guardian Guild left, Seon-woo and Do-jin followed along. However, it was not a private plane like theirs, so they inevitably took more time to get there. They were nervous the whole time, unable to relax even on the plane. “We’ve arrived at our destination.” Seon-woo and Do-jin looked at the data that Yoram Guild handed over. In the materials, Leon's activities were recorded. The two of them decided to start their investigations focusing on the places they visited most often. “For now, let’s split the role in half. One person will check the location written on the document, and the other will monitor the Guardian Guild.” “Then I’ll go to the Guardian Guild.” When Do-jin stepped forward, Seon-woo spoke in a cold voice. “I’ll go to the Guardian Guild.” “Hiding and watching is my specialty.” "It's a really sinister ability." Even under these circumstances, the relationship between the two could not improve. Still, it was Hyeon-woo's safety that depended on it, so in the end Seon-woo stepped back. “We’ll investigate as quickly as possible.” Saying that, Seon-woo cautiously moved along with some of the guild members of Seon-hyeon guild. Most of the guild members of the Seon-hyeon Guild joined only after seeing Seon-woo, so their loyalty was very high. He did not hesitate to step out to help him even though the prior explanation was poor. 'On the other hand, the Peace Guild.' They were also people who gathered after seeing Do-jin, but it felt a little different. Since there were many people who had a hard life originally, there was a strong tendency to lean on Do-jin rather than moving forward together. So he couldn't ask for help. Instead, A-yun sent some people from the Yoram Guild who had excellent stealth skills. Now was the time to act. HM: a filler chapter~ des~ YRR: I wonder who tampered with the car?
