After a couple of days of settling into Berlin, they began exploring. They started by visiting landmarks, strolling unfamiliar streets, and slowly growing familiar with the neighborhood that, at least for now, was home.
They strolled through the nearby park, the air carrying the faint sweetness of flowers in bloom.
“The scent of the flowers is lovely……”
Yoo Ji-han murmured, quiet joy in his voice.
Chae Yoo-jeong glanced at him, then reached over to wrap a grey scarf snugly around his neck. It wasn’t truly cold, but the thought of his hyung catching even the slightest chill worried him.
Yoo Ji-han blinked in surprise, then immediately softened into a smile. He tugged the scarf higher, hiding his face in its folds.
“Thanks…” he murmured.
Chae Yoo-jeong noticed the tips of his ears turning red and couldn’t help but smile.
“Anything for you, Hyung.”
After wandering through the park a while longer, they decided to visit the university they would be attending in a month’s time.
When they arrived, they slowly walked the grounds, taking in the atmosphere.
“It’s so peaceful……”
Yoo Ji-han murmured. He spun lightly in place, as if dancing with the flowers and the wind.
“I don’t want to go back to Korea……. Why do we always overthink things…?”
Yoo Ji-han sank softly onto a nearby bench. Chae Yoo-jeong watched him for a moment, lost in thought, before a gentle smile appeared on his face and he spoke softly.
“It’s not a bad idea to imagine staying here for the rest of your life. But… you don’t need to worry about that right now. Let’s just enjoy this moment, Hyung.”
“Alight……”
Yoo Ji-han murmured, a small smile tugging at his lips as he leaned back against the bench. He gazed up at the sky and wiggled his fingers, gently taking Chae Yoo-jeong’s hands. Holding them up, he let their intertwined hands block the sun. The sunlight spilled across his cheeks, casting warmth, shifting hues on his face. Only a smile blossomed.

Yoo Ji-han and Chae Yoo-jeong planned a weekday outing to the Mall of Berlin, feeling more comfortable navigating the city by now. They wandered through the hallways, popping in and out of various stores, trying on different outfits.
Chae Yoo-jeong struck poses as if he were modeling, while Yoo Ji-han tugged at piles of clothes in his hands.
“Try this light blue suit. I think it would look great with your hair.”
Yoo Ji-han suggested it, and before he knew it, a small crowd had begun to gather. He stepped forward, narrowing his eyes as he told them firmly to leave.
One of the people turned out to be a fan of Chae Yoo-jeong.
“It’s fine. I can handle this, Hyung.”
Chae Yoo-jeong said, dressed in loose white pants and a grey shirt, glancing at Yoo Ji-han as he glared at the girl in front of him.
“I’m your fan from Germany! Kyaaaah! I cannot believe you’re here, in Berlin. I have been following you since your e-sports days. I guess you’ve switched over to streaming and modeling now, but I’m still your fan. I love hearing your news from Korea!”
Chae Yoo-jeong signed on the book she had handed him, using his special autograph, and returned it with a smile. After a quick handshake, he waved the girl goodbye and turned his gaze back to Yoo Ji-han.
The girl watched them for a moment, her thoughts racing.
The girl watched them for a moment, her thoughts racing.
‘That must be his lover. I heard he was taking a three-month break from streaming and modeling… I didn’t expect to meet his lover here too…’
She tried to steal a quick glance at Yoo Ji-han.
‘Beautiful……’
When her friends called her name at that same moment, she snapped her head away from her inner thoughts.
‘Oops… I stared too much. I should go now.’
Blushing slightly, she hurried off, her ears tinged red as she disappeared into the crowd.
Yoo Ji-han glanced at Chae Yoo-jeong, his expression listless as he thought,
‘I guess he acts normal around other people.’
Chae Yoo-jeong raised an eyebrow, a teasing smile tugging at his lips.
“Your expression makes it sound like I would have acted rudely.”
Chae Yoo-jeong said, speaking as if he could read Yoo Ji-han’s thoughts. And tapping his shoulder, Chae Yoo-jeong pulled him closer and gave him a small, comforting hug. Then, they turned around together, and Yoo Ji-han began taking some pictures of him.
“We have to buy this! It would be a waste if we didn’t!”
Yoo Ji-han paused, considering both the price and the value of the clothes.
‘The hefty price… but I should be able to afford this…with my hard-earned money.’
Fumes entered Yoo Ji-han’s eyes as this thought manifested. Chae Yoo-jeong already pulled out this card in front of the cashier. The cashier smiled, took it and scanned it. Yoo Ji-han was a second late and Chae Yoo-jeong beat him to it with a sparkle next to his eyes.
‘As long as he likes them…….’
Yoo Ji-han rubbed the back of his neck with a shy smile tugging at his lips as a faint blush spread across his cheeks.
The cashier smiled as Yoo Ji-han and Chae Yoo-jeong walked away from the store.
‘They must be a couple……. What a perfect couple. And here I am, wondering what I’m doing with my life…’

They ate some croissants as they wandered through the streets, later enjoying donuts outside while watching pigeons go back and forth.
“Come to think of it, I never saw your parents at the airport.”
Chae Yoo-jeong remarked.
Yoo Ji-han nodded.
“They’re too lazy to see their own son. Those two are lovey-dovey enough on their own without me. Not to mention, they don’t like waking up early, so they didn’t come for the flight.”
Chae Yoo-jeong laughed a bit, while Yoo Ji-han pouted.
To let their body digestion properly after eating, they decided to explore a nearby park they had never visited before, strolling through its quiet paths and taking in the unfamiliar scenery.
“I wonder why I’m getting chills all of a sudden.”
Yoo Ji-han shivered slightly as the wind blew.
“Maybe we should have brought the clothes with us instead of shipping them.”
Chae Yoo-jeong murmured in a soft, sweet voice.
They drew closer, subtly hugging each other as they walked, step by step. Though their pace was slow, the warmth between them felt different, gentle yet encompassing, as if it was wrapped around their hearts more tightly than ever before.
After a while of walking, they came across a pre-wedding shoot between a female couple. There were two foreign looking women. One woman had long, straight, light brown hair, while the other had mid-length, wavy black hair. Both wore elegant white gowns.
In a charming touch, they were posing with cats whose fur matched their own hair colors, the cats’ paws gently touching as if mirroring the couple’s affection.
Many people were gathered around them as well as some, who stopped by, to mesmerize and go about their daily lives. Yoo Ji-han and Chae Yoo-jeong watched from afar, from where they could see.
They then posed in such a way that they kissed each other's cheeks. The camera light flashed. Next, they finally posed to kiss each other. One of the cats licked the ear of the other cat and the other cat slapped the cat’s face who licked him. The photo ended up looking like the cat kissing each other. The photographer, who looked at the image, let out a small chuckle.
A small squeak from the scattered crowd could be heard.
Yoo Ji-han and Chae Yoo-jeong looked at each other at the same time and blushed. They inverted their faces from each other. Chae Yoo-jeong covered his eyes and proceeded to cover his blush.
Only one thought crossed their brain simultaneously.
‘Could we get married like that too, someday?’

‘The cats are really cute.’
Yoo Ji-han thought unconsciously, remembering the affectionate licking.
